The world of gaming and art has been a part of our world in one form or another since the beginning of time. What has also been a part of our world since the beginning of time is mental issues. Gaming in many of has helped with mental health issues in many people of their lives.

Drizztaloth is a streamer on Twitch. She streams her games she plays and her artwork. Little people know she suffers from social issues, anxiety, and depression. It consumed her life all her life. It really got bad after the Covid hit our world back in 2020.

Drizztaloth, “My mental state, I've been diagnosed with depression and anxiety disorder, and COVID didn't help with that. You know, you stay inside, not talking to anybody. You don't have much conversation, let alone interaction with other people.”

Her mental health declined during this time. Where she didn’t know how she was going to get through it. Her husband suggested to her to stream to battle her mental health issues.

Drizztaloth said. “It was my husband's doing. Ender pushed me to stream. He's like, I know that you're shy, but I think that this can help you out of your mental state. Why don't you start streaming that way you can get interaction with people and do what makes you feel better, which is your artwork, whether you're painting for only three people, or you're painting for 30 people, and there are people who are interested in. Talking to you and seeing what you do. So, I must give it to Ender. He was the one that pushed me over the edge. I was like, hey, you should probably start streaming. And that's why I have, and it's been great.”

The game by Cloud Imperium Games Star Citizen has changed many lives in of players and developers alike. The community of Star Citizen has helped people improved their mental health as well. Drizztaloth attested to that the game helped saved her.

Drizztaloth said, “It's helped in the sense of we moved to where we live now, middle of the pandemic mid 2020. I wasn't able to make friends here. I wasn't able to explore where we live. I was essentially a recluse, living my life as a homeschool mom, not able to even hold a conversation with anybody, even at the grocery store. So it has. This community has opened up a world of I'm now able to while gaming talk to people enjoy somebody's company even if it's not necessarily face to face. I'm able to interact with people and these are good people. So it's been a wonder for my mental health. And it's been. So much fun. I just. I can't put it into words. It's just so much fun being able to log into the game, look at your friends list and be like, Oh, so-and-so playing. I'm going to join them in their server and be able to go and enjoy a game together. You know, it's everything to me right now, so I'm enjoying that.”

She also streams gaming as well. Where she plays the game Star Citizen. Where she takes part in bounty hunting and what she calls Fashion Citizen.

Drizztaloth, “Fashion citizen for me is just being able to find an armor that you like. Find a color that you like and be able to mix and match different armors. You know, I've seen that most players, not all, but most players have a tendency to wear all one armor from head to toe, whereas I prefer to mix and match different armors, you know, a helmet from one, a torso piece from another, arms from another. It's also fun to play Fashion Citizen in that try to make the ugliest combination that you could find. There are some there are some colors out there that just clash so terribly with another color. So that's always fun to do. So, Fashion Citizen is just playing around with all of the armor and clothing because there are some. Primo pieces of clothing that the Star Citizen offers and just being able to mix and match a nice. A nice wardrobe together. Super fun.”

Rather she’s either doing artwork, gaming, or out just to talking to her community as she streams. It makes life easier to live every day to stream and get the support she needs and a community that believes in her.
