On October 08, 2022, during CitizenCon, Cloud Imperium Games (CIG) introduced the new Star CitizenCommunity Hub 2.0. It is said to be a better version than the previous version of the Community Hub. The Star Citizen community has its own opinion of the new Community Hub.
Zark of Zark Media had this to say about the community Hub: “The new community hub looks really easy to engage with. I like how it's both more visually pleasing and easier to navigate. Can't wait to put up my first video on the new hub and see if there's any change in reception. I have hopes the new design will have more people dropping by the hub to check out some community content.”
The Eradicator added, “To me, it is the same, but it looks a little better. So yeah, it's only, meh, to me.”
Fist of Fist and Jawa gave his opinion and insights on this video for this publication.
Other people added that they have issues with the community hub. The first and major issue is when people try logging they get an error.

Another issue is their exclusivity to allow auto posts of live streams from Twitch. This is very controversial since it leaves out those who stream using YouTube. Lately, there has been controversy due to twitch changing its policies on payouts. Where it used to split the money from the subscriptions 50/50, now Twitch is taking 70% of the money the creators earn.
According to Kotaku.com, “Yesterday, the president of Twitch, Dan Clancy, announced a change to the revenue system that would mean some of the top performing Twitch streamers will get less money. According to Clancy, Twitch was making this change in order to afford increasing server costs. The changes would not affect “the vast majority” of creators, but the blog post upset those who felt that Twitch was taking too much money and offering too little support.”
So CIG will need to address these issues so the community will be more willing to use the new Community Hub.
