Today tabletop gaming has become a veritable industry thanks to today’s Geeks. Via Dicebreaker, the industry made over twenty-two billion dollars in 2021. Considering the whole toys and games market made $242. 8bn worldwide last year. Tabletop games and the miniatures that go along with the games have become a leading part of the industry. If it wasn’t for the consumer who craze their miniatures and game, where would the sales be today? Some of the top miniature for D&D cost over $300. For example, a D&D Nolzur’s Marvelous Unpainted Minis: Gargantuan Tiamat (Preorder) costs $350.

The question is why are they so popular? People, especially Geeks, crave entertainment. A lot of entertainment got canceled the past two because of Covid. So, game shops got raided, and the community grew the industry of tabletop games to play with friends. Take your favorite game home and play with a friend in your home. Miniatures help with realism and imagination of home played games where visualization is important.

Miniatures have a long and rich history. Miniatures allowed military leaders see position. They later used the same miniature to for Wargames simulation battle. During WW2 the all sides of the conflict used miniatures to simulate battle. Some even predicted the outcome.

Now the war games of old are now in the gamers’ market. Many people play them in the embedded video. We talk to the gamer and why he plays. For now, the love and passion of the current generations play side by side to have fun with each other.
